2. During the early days of Eli Whitney's history,
students went on from there to Chatham Jr. High School. The building that housed CJHS, at 208 Bull St., is now headquarters
for the Board of Education. In preparation for the May 24 EW Reunion, Lee and Charles Varner, in March, visited the
B of E to do research. Noting the apparently good fashion in which the old building is being maintained, they made a
